Senior Java engineers for systems that must be fast and correct
Java consulting and development for teams that need backend depth: Spring Boot platforms, high-throughput and low-latency services, messaging, and the modernization of systems that have outgrown their design.
- Dedicated Java / Spring Boot developers, or a fixed-scope build
- Low-latency and high-frequency trading experience
- Kafka, Netty, ZeroMQ and event-driven architecture
- EU company, NDA first, your repositories and your cloud

Java work where the engineering is the hard part
Java & Spring development
Services, APIs and data layers on Spring Boot, built to be correct, observable and maintainable by your team afterwards.
High-frequency & low-latency
Market data, order flow and pricing engines: concurrency, memory behaviour, GC and the network path.
Messaging & event-driven
Kafka, ZeroMQ, Netty and Vert.x based pipelines with ordering, back-pressure and failure handling designed in.
Modernization & transformation
Java and Spring upgrades, monolith-to-modular migration and incremental rewrites without stopping the business.
Architecture consulting
Architecture reviews, performance audits and technical due diligence with written findings you can act on.
Cloud & DevOps
Docker, Ansible, CI/CD and monitoring so the system that works on a laptop also runs well in production.
Pick how you want to work with us
Dedicated team
Java engineers who join your roadmap, tickets and release process. Best for continuous product development.
Fixed-scope build
A defined system or component delivered end to end with a clear scope, milestones and handover.
Consulting & review
Architecture review, performance tuning or due diligence before you commit budget or hire.
From first call to production
Intro call
You describe the system and the problem. We tell you honestly whether and how we can help.
Scope & proposal
Team shape, engagement model, first milestones and risks, in writing.
Start building
Engineers get access, read the code and deliver a first working slice early.
Ship & operate
Release, monitor, tune. Scale the team up or down as the roadmap changes.

Java systems where speed and correctness both matter
Finopts, Knowio.ai and ClickOptions.ai are Dreambox engineering projects. Exchanges and platform types are mentioned to describe the systems our team has integrated with or worked on, not as client relationships or endorsements.
Common questions
Can you take over or extend our existing Java codebase?
Yes. Most engagements start with reading and running the existing code. We add features, remove bottlenecks and clean up as we go, without proposing a rewrite unless the code leaves no other option.
How is a dedicated team set up?
We agree the roles you need (for example two backend engineers and a tech lead), the hours of overlap and the working process. The team works in your repositories, tickets and release process. You steer priorities; we handle delivery.
Do you only do trading systems?
No. Trading and fintech shaped our engineering habits, but the same skills (concurrency, messaging, correctness, operations) apply to payments, telecom, logistics, IoT and any backend with demanding load.
Which Java and Spring versions do you work with?
Everything from older Spring Boot 2 codebases to current Java 21 and Spring Boot 3. We also do the upgrades between them.
What about IP and confidentiality?
The code you pay for is yours. We sign an NDA before you share details and can work inside your repositories and cloud accounts.
Can you also add AI features?
Yes, we build LLM integrations and MCP servers in Java as well, but it is a side capability. Our core is Java consulting and backend engineering.
What does it cost?
It depends on team size and engagement model (dedicated team, fixed-scope build or consulting). Tell us what you need and we reply with a clear proposal.
